1/ PROJECT MANAGER – PROJECT CARGO TRANSPORT

 

ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a PROJECT MANAGER for our USA Office located in Woodlands, Texas who will report directly to the USA MANAGING DIRECTOR, will be responsible to address clients on the project status as well as report USA management.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the management and supervision of complex transport operations of heavy cargoes within our energy division (transformers, turbines, reactors etc.)  The position requires previous experience in handling transport services by road, rail, port operations and liaising with heavy haulers, rail companies and other suppliers and flexibility, ability to adjust to changes in the projects.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To quote, organize, manage and execute complex transport operations of heavy cargoes by road, rail or barge. Control and monitor the project from start to finish, timely reporting clients and company’s management.
  • To arrange complete transport procedure, dealing with DOT, heavy haulers and port authorities for the smooth delivery of the cargo.
  • Collaborate with the USA team as well as colleagues from the overseas offices.
  • Liaison with the customer and service providers for transportation requirement.
  • Maintain schedule and communicate regularly with the customer on updates and any deviations.
  • Evaluate risk and address with the appropriate internal resources to minimize risk.
  • Maintain accurate files for transportation documentation and financial tracking.
  • Track transportation invoicing from suppliers to close out files, and to timely invoice clients.
  • Manage and negotiate contracts with transportation providers and other service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in transformer movement projects.
  • Receive booking from agents or clients, prepare quotation for clients and follow up with them.
  • Conduct freight negotiations with carriers, haulers, overseas offices and agents for all modes of transportation, to ensure price competitiveness and profitability.
  • Follow up with operation & subcontractors until the shipment delivered to customers
  • Assist with preparation of RFQ and Bid Tender Responses.

 

WORK EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIRED

  • Proven experience in the management and execution of Project Cargo transport operations, with special focus on the transport of heavy cargoes by road and rail. Experience with transport operation of heavy transformers will be a plus.
  • Bachelor in engineering/engineering background will be highly valued.
  • Bachelor in logistics, international commerce will be considered as a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of transportation and logistics processes, including customs regulations and documentation requirements.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to effectively plan, organize, and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on finding innovative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Proficient in using project management software and tools.
  • Capacity to work under pressure and meet the KPIs determined by the client and the MD.
  • Willingness to travel as required for project supervision, commercial and management meetings within the US and abroad.

2/ BUSINESS CONTROLLER – Erhardt Projects USA

We are looking for a BUSINESS CONTROLLER for our USA Office located in Woodlands, Texas who will report directly to the USA MANAGING DIRECTOR and INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS CONTROLLER, will assume the responsibility of financial controlling and administrative management of the company, ensuring the financial health of the organization.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accounting
    • Book keeping: maintain general ledger and accurate financial records. Close the monthly books.
    • Report: monthly Profit and Loss reporting, quarterly Balance Sheet presentation.
    • Gross Margin analysis and deep supervision on General Expenses.
    • Intercompany conciliation and invoicing.
    • Assets control and depreciation process.
    • Payroll registration.
    • Currency revaluation of balance sheet account.
    • Calculation and registration of monthly provisions.
    • Financial Statements’ elaboration, management and coordination of external audit.
  • Fiscal
    • In collaboration with tax advisor, elaboration, supervision, presentation and payment of all the tax declaration according to the local regulation: VAT, WHT, Tax Return…
  • Treasury
    • Bank reconciliation (cross-functional function for treasury manager).
    • Account payables and receivable: keep updated SOA with both clients and suppliers. Performing an active role in collection.
    • Coordinate the contracting of exchange insurance, its supervision and its extensions, as well as record accounting updates (cross-functional function for treasury manager).
    • Oversee and forecast financing needs (cross-functional function for treasury manager).
    • Prepare monthly treasury budget: analyze deviations and monitor cash-flow. (cross-functional function for treasury manager)
    • Monitoring and settlement of personnel liquidations: registration of Tickelia and credit cards.
  • Business Controlling
    • Guarantee the correct application of internal controls and standards of the ERHARDT group.
    • Prepare and monitor dashboards (KPI). Review current management control systems for administrative processes, proposing improvements and new financial information processing systems.
    • Active collaboration with the Operations department: analyzing provisions and profitability.
    • Prepare and monitor the annual budget, and identify possible deviations (support function for consolidation manager).
    • Update forecasts and prepare annual closing landing pages (support function for consolidation manager).
    • Management and analysis of currency risk, customer risk and Net Financial
  • Debt
    • Management of the credit insurer.
    • Play an active role in collection: debt monitoring and agreements with clients.

 

WORK EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIRED

  • Bachelor degree in business administration, accounting, finance or related areas.
  • Proven experience as business controller. Experience within the logistic business will be a plus.
  • Experience managing CargoWise system.
