One company embracing new digitalization technology is Spain´s Erhardt Proyectos. “We see digitalization as a way of giving our values chain the smoothness and flexibility that our customers´ logistics require, but also as a way of providing them with new services and/or solutions”, said the company.

It developed a digital platform named NETERH that covers the logistical needs of its customers with six solutions: diProcure, diOffer, diContract, diOpx, diShl and diWharehouse. The platform utilizes a range of digital technologies including artificial intelligence, machine learning, sensor systems and the internet of things, data and analytics and blockchain.

The firs solution in the line-up, diProcure, speeds up requests for prices and answers from different suppliers for specific logistics operations, while diOffer simplifies and monitors viable quotes in response to transportation requests.

diContract draws up secure, multi-supplier contracts and anticipates the various risks associated with the logistics operation to be carried out. diOpx, focuses on smart planning and real-time traceability in each operation and diShl provides customers with information and specific services as required by the type of operation carried out – for example, the securing of insurance policies and specialist personnel.

The last solution in NETERH´s roster is diWharehouse. This ensures that the location of cargo is known at all times and facilitates it´s movement to the final destination when necessary.

Each solution can be used separately, meaning customers can configure their own set of tailored services to meet their needs.

“With NETERH we offer customers maximum customization to suit their needs and business intelligence, so that they can offer their own customers more value added and thus stand out from their competitors, at the same time making their business more sustainable”

Explained Blanca Alarcia, head of NETERH.

The platform, which will come online early in 2022, has been developed as a result of an “innovation process” with 47 customers, suppliers and experts in the sector. Erhardt added that it is a way of helping customers smarten their supply chains, optimize their processes and improve the experience of their own customers without the need of acquiring their own technology.

Igor Muñiz, general manager of Erhardt Proyectos, commented:

«Our Boutique & Unique´ strategy, based on in-house engineering, an à la carte chartering division and a strong push towards digitalization, makes us a benchmark in the industrial project cargo sector and unique pioneers at a global level in driving the transformation of the sector”.
