On top of the world

That is where the Spanish Business Council (SBC) in the United Arab Emirates positioned Spain during the Gala Dinner held on Spain’s National Day at the Dubai World Expo 2020. This great event takes on even more significance if one keeps in mind that it was held in collaboration with the Embassy of Spain in the UAE, FEDECOM, the Leading Brands of Spain Forum, and the Spanish Chamber of Commerce.

It was attended by 300 people including prominent local and Spanish authorities, business representatives of top companies, members of the SBC, ambassadors, members of the Spanish Community in the UAE, and also those responsible for the Dubai World Expo 2020.

The Burj Khalifa was the setting for the SBC Gala Dinner in Dubai (SBC).

During the event, the FEDECOM and ‘Friends of Marca España’ awards were presented.

Juan Lladó, president of Técnicas Reunidas, received the FEDECOM award and expressed his satisfaction for this “recognition of the international experience and exporting capacity of a company that has incorporated multiple companies to develop new projects”.

The Leading Brands of Spain Forum also recognized outstanding Emirati authorities and institutions that have worked actively to strengthen bilateral agreements between Spain and the United Arab Emirates over the last year. These entities were recognized in the category ‘Friends of the Spain Brand in the UAE’.

Finally, the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Tourism closed the ceremony and reaffirmed the excellent bilateral relations between the UAE and Spain.
