On October 25th, HLPFI welcomed nearly 400 guests for a night of celebration at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London where the winners of the Heavy Lift Awards 2023 were announced.
Erhardt Projects, finalist of the Heavy Lift Awards in the category “Project Logistics Provider of the Year”, was represented at the ceremony by Blanca Alarcia, International Corporate Manager and Iñigo García, Sales Supervisor.
The Heavy Lift Awards 2023 saw the very best of the industry come together to celebrate the achievements of the project cargo supply chain, recognising and rewarding excellence in complex logistics, transport and engineering projects around the world.
After much deliberation from our panel of judges, the winners were revealed.
Çaba & Misnak took home the trophy in the Excellence in Engineering category for its work on a major project in Türkiye.
Blue Bell Shippipng claimed first prize to The Airfreight Solution of the Year award for an outstanding project cargo shipment that has been executed by air in the last 12 months.
AAL Shipping was once again named Ship Operator of the Year, with thejudges praising its commitment to safety, sustainability and innovation as well as its performance management.
The Innovation Award was presented to Liebherr by has developed an innovative piece of equipment to improve the lift or transport of heavy and oversize cargoes, its LR 12500-1.0 crawler crane.
The Environment Award attracted a broad range of entries that highlighted the diverse nature of the supply chain and approaches to sustainability. Logistec Stevedoring rose to the top with a submission that showcased an enthusiastic, exemplary, and concerted effort to be environmentally aware.
Zuidnatie was awarded Port/Terminal Operator of the Year, putting forward an entry that “ticked all the boxes”.
The Overland Transport Provider of the Year was once again a hotly contended category. Taking home the trophy was Prism Logistics.
Safety & Training Award is presented to a company that has a comprehensive or innovative approach to safety and training either through day-to-day operations, by providing dedicated programmes and continuous professional development, or launching a specific initiative designed to improve the training or safety in a particular area of operation. Sarens rose to the top spot to secure this year’s award.
Awarded to a logistics provider of any size that has developed its project cargo services to adapt to new market opportunities and challenges, as well as customer demands, the Project Logistics Provider of the Year trophy went to Fracht Group.
Project of the Year 2023 category saw a range of impressive projects put forward. CJ ICM emerged as the frontrunner.
Finally, the year’s winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award went to Kurt Skov of Blue Water Shipping.
